PERMISSIONS/OPT OUT OOC • backtagging i will always, always, always backtag. i work one of the weirdest schedules in the world so sometimes my tagging itself is a bit odd but as long as we're both still interested i'll do it. • threadhopping currently i'm keeping kitty to memes, so it really depends on the context of the thread. ask if you're unsure. • fourthwalling i'd prefer not (unless it's part of your character like deadpool), but i'm totally okay with... universe-walling? as in her meeting other sherlocks, watsons, kittys, etc; and finding out there are different versions of worlds etc; • offensive subjects for the most part i'm okay with things that could be considered offensive, it really depends on how it's handled. basically don't be a dick. i'm not a fan of ott violence or anything gratuitous - sometimes less is more amirite? basically if you're not sure, ask. that said kitty's past has what some people may consider offensive subjects see notes for more info. IC • physical contact kitty doesn't like it. she doesn't like being touched or hugged or anything even by people she knows and is close too. this is due to being the victim of exteme physical violence. how she reacts really depends on how close your character is to her. i'd like to think at some point if she's opened up to the right person she'd be okay with it (and we know in canon she eventually is) but don't expect her to reciprotate anything. and depending on who you are she may end up hitting you. • romance i'm very much for romance with kitty! but much like physical contact it's something that is going to take time. kitty isn't good at trusting or opening up to people. so any romance would likely be a slow burn thing and the person would have to be patient as hell with her. • fighting yes, go for it! kitty has trained in single stick fencing and it's likely she's learned various other self denfense and fighting techniques, especially if you consider the fact she **SPOILERS** manages to abduct a full grown man, her rapist, and later pours acid on him. /**SPOILERS** • injuries or death sure, why not. but let's discuss this one first. • timeline i usually play kitty from her time with holmes and watson, or immedietly following the events of s03e12. i'm open to playing her from her reappreance in s5 but honestly... i just like playing her from s3. SHIPS • HAPPINESS/KITTY ✔✔✔ look this is all i really want for her. i want kitty to be happy. she deserves to be happy. because of her past i think there is going to need to be a lot of build up and it's going to take time before she's comfortable with physical contact. i tend to lean towards m/f for her but depending on the situation and chemistry between our characters i'm open to f/f. • BELL/KITTY ✔ marcus bell is wonderful and i think he and kitty would be adorable. i doubt anyone even plays bell but i thought i'd put this out there just in case. • SHERLOCK/KITTY + JOAN/KITTY ✘ they're her parents friends. ewww. *tho tbh i may be open to other sherlocks and watsons for kitty, depending on how we do it. OPT-OUT • we never get to find out all the details about kitty's past, it's even implied that kitty winter isn't even her real name. at some point before we meet kitty in the series she was abducted and held captive by a man for three days. during those three days he raped, tortured and branded her. this has had a huge effect on kitty's personality, motivations and choices of why she does what she does. much like the series i won't go into extreme detail about what happened to her (nor will i be mentioning it every tag/every other tag), but if any of this bothers you at all let me know and i'll adjust my tags accordingly. • kitty is extremly smart, she's very good at reading people and deducing things (i mean she's sherlock holmes' protege what do you expect?). if there's anything you'd think she'd figure out about your character in our threads, or things you'd like her to deduce let me know and i'll figure out how to work them icly into my tags.
